Got Wood?

One swing splits most logs. After a year of regular use the edge on the axe still looks like it just came out of the box! The hardened blade with just the right flair on each side of the axe face makes this tool function like and axe and a wedge. Good value!

Handle too short, but a good product otherwise

Handle is about six inches shorter than what I would call a standard handle length I missed the length because it took away some power. The blade is very sharp. You can see in the video where the edge dented ( I was cutting yellow pine so very soft wood). I don’t think this will be an issue or mean that the metal is too soft. I think it just means the edge was sharp and thin. Wedge shape built into head does help.

Decent Axe - Not for Small Hands - Some Nitpicks Below

Pretty decent. Not sure what the "special mending technique" is to attach the axe head to the handle, but if it ever broke, I doubt it would be easy to fix. The plastic cover w/ handle is chintzy and so is the "locking" mechanism. It also fits loosely. Why make the only thing between you and a very sharp heavy blade a chintzy piece of plastic? If you have small to medium hands the handle is a little thick and also very ovoid in shape. Odd choice. Probably a no-go for small hands. All of this is probably enough to take off two stars, so you be the judge. The reason I erred on the generous side is that it does a pretty good job splitting wood. It went though some well-dried oak no problem. Will update if anything changes over time.

Very Good Axe!!

I don't do a ton of wood cutting but I had a to cut down a large tree so i bought this axe and it worked great! Last axes I have bought from home depot were garbage but this one is solid, feels great in your hands, and chops great. I had a lot of fun with this tool! Highly recommend!
