It’s super lightweight and easy to swing. Seems much more durable than the hickory handle ones. I definitely recommend it to someone who has a fireplace and/wood stove. Or just anyone who needs to split firewood.
This came covered in a big plastic bag with the head enclosed in a sturdy cardboard covering.There is a sort of shield that stays on the head until you need to use it.This is an appropriate choice for those of us that occasionally need to chop something, but don’t need a big heavy ax.This has worked well to take out some small stumps that were left from some recent sawing down of medium sized trees.This was large enough to get the work done but small enough to get in close & also not so heavy we could actually heave it.Works for us, and I’d get it again & recommend it.
This axe is nice to use. There wasn't much recoil and it splits very well. The handle is easy and comfortable to grip.
