The best thing about this tool is that the guts of it, all the most important parts, are metal and well built. The saddest part is that the handle, also an important part, is made of plastic, held onto the gun by one tiny screw.My spray gun has had very light use so far (maybe three tubes of foam total) and now the handle has broken off. The plastic bit where that tiny screw goes through into the metal has broken and the handle is useless. Picture a caulk gun without the handle. Not the easiest thing in the world to use. That’s what happens to this spray gun. I’m now trying to figure a work-around for the broken handle. For a tool this lightly used this should not happen. Manufacturer should spend a bit more on a quality handle that matches the quality level of the rest of the tool.When this gun works it works very well.
I bought this to insulate windows and doors in my home. I was sinking a lot of $$ into the disposable cans so this made sense. I've had this for a bit now and am still on my first can of foam. Foamed the house and an entire camper and it is still going. I leave this on the bench with the can installed and the valve closed. open and dispense some of the product about once a month and have had no clogs. The plastic handle has been beaten around in the truck and is very durable. Should last me a good long time. I may order another just for use with adhesives instead of swapping back and forth. I Love this thing.
I was able to use this multiple times before it gave out. This is how all foam guns are intended for use. This is one of the best I’ve used.
